Chapter Fourteen

2329 Words

Jackson Detroit is not here at all. His son is now the club's President. The badge I can distinctly see on his shoulder is the title for the position. Blake, the bully from my youth, was a man I hardly knew. His reputation was that of a violent, adolescent naivety who had a complete disregard for authority. It was a boy, not a man, that I remembered. But what are the chances that a boy like him had grown up? I highly doubt it. There was no point in staying to try to negotiate with him.
