Donovan and I rushed through the forest while the wind howled all around us. My body was still burning from the energy that had woken up inside of me, and my heart was racing. I felt like I was carrying something too strong for my body to handle, and every step felt heavier.
Even though we had left Seraphina's stronghold, there was still a problem. I wasn't myself.
