LEILA’S POV
I blinked, momentarily stunned by his words and unable to form a response.
I mean, it was only a miracle that I calmed down his beast and brought him back to a state of sanity—thanks entirely to my powers that had awakened just last night.
But what assurance did that give me that it would happen again, when it was common knowledge that we couldn’t use our powers outside of the pack… an attempt at protecting the last of our kind.
Perhaps the moon goddess heard my cries and pardoned me this once. Would she do it again the next time his curse triggered?
