CHAPTER 26
LEILA’S POV
I opened my eyes and found myself in a tub, water surrounding me.
My face scrunched up in unbearable pain that I couldn’t explain. It f*****g hurts.
I must have said it out loud because Winnie’s voice drifted into my ears the next second, assuring me that the pain would go soon.
But it won’t, I was damn sure of that. My slow healing rate wouldn’t let me…
When I woke up again, I was lying on the bed, dressed in a light gown.
My wounds were dressed, and my body, although filled with pain, felt alive again.
I could have sworn that I’d been drifting on the edge of death.
I blinked, looking around the room and realizing that it was dark already.
No one was here, or so I thought until I moved my body and accidentally hit a very hard object.
