Mia's POV
Gabby and I got around to the cottage without being noticed. Whatever was going on, they were distracted by Rosie. Which was probably intentional on Rosie's part.
I didn't sense or see anyone around, so Gabby took that as our signal to bolt toward the cottage door. It felt like one of those now or never moments, and we literally ran with it.
The door was unlocked, and we managed to only step a foot inside before we were both zapped on our asses.
My first thought was pure panic that we were going to get caught by all the noise we just made. My second was who the hell would zap us because I really didn't think Mira would do that if she sensed it was us.
It would have been so much easier if there wasn't some block up that was keeping us from linking each other.
