Hearing about Mia's scars and seeing them are two different things. I thought I would be more angry. I'm not saying that I'm not angry. I think a great deal amount of it was overcomed by sadness and guilt.
Everything she said in her apology, I understood. I just hope she truly knows if i had proof that nothing would have stopped me from trying to save her.
She was being so open and raw with me in this moment. She was in nothing but in her underwear, yet the only thing i could see was her scars. I think this is what she meant by not wanting to ruin the moment. Her fears are valid because i'm not sure how to make her feel comfortable with me seeing her like this. These scars will forever be a reminder of what Shawn did to her, and i think that was the purpose of it.
