Waking up after being knocked out is seriously the worst. But the pain of not knowing where Mia is or what happened to her was even worse.
Gabby was sitting up against a tree that was nearest to me. She had her knees bent to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. Her eyes were tear stained, and all around, she was a bloody mess. "Are you okay? Where's Mia?"
