Did he win because he was the son of the symbolic heroes of our country, or did he win because many believed that—though his running mates had more achievements listed in their resumes—he had the best game plan with which to pull the country out of its morass of problems? Is it not something to wonder at, now that the twenty-fifth year anniversary of the EDSA Revolution is upon us, we have another Aquino to pin our hopes on? He is our leader, but he cannot do it alone. If there is anything the first People Power Revolution taught us, it is the necessity of unity; the succeeding EDSA 2 and EDSA 3 Revolutions also taught us that it would not do to continue to be so divisive.
