Chapter 12

Gia’s POV

As much as I would love go move away with Nathan, I don’t see how I can. My parents will never allow that. I absentmindedly trace circles over Nathan’s arms, creating goosebumps. Never in a million years would I believe I had a mate. Not only do I have mate but he successful, he’s gorgeous and he’s an alpha. The moon goddess definitely moved in the favor for once.

“Don’t worry about your parents. We’ll figure this out, you’re coming home with me.”

I nod my head. I trust, I know in my heart I’m safe with him.

“Will your pack accept me?” I ask. Never did I think I would be a Luna. I know nothing about it. Will I even be good? Do I have the ability to lead a pack?

“Of course Princess. They will love you.” I hate to admit but I love being called Princess by Nathan. He makes me feel so loved and cherished and we just met.

I stand to get dressed again for the third time today. “Where are you going?”

“I need to check my phone, I’m sure my cousin Val is waiting to hear from me.”

Nathan stands to get dressed as well. Goddess he’s hot. I watch as his muscle ripple. I feel myself getting hot again. Nathan chuckles and walks over to me once his clothes are situated. He kisses me deeply. “Later angel, we’ll have time for that later.”

Nathan’s eyes cloud over. “DJ is bringing lunch up here for us. I’ve have to make a few phone calls, feel free to make yourself comfortable.”

I grab my phone out of my bag as Nathan starts doing some work. I text Val.

“Hey, are you still working?”

“I’m almost done, how are things going are you ok?”

“I’m fine, whenever you’re finished do you think you could come by here?”

“Of course. Are you sure you’re ok?”

“I’m more than ok.”

“Now I’m curious, I’ll be there within the hour.”

I know I’m going to need her help on how to handle this. I run a few scenarios in my head of how I can break the news to my parents in a way that they will allow me to leave.

I mean I am mated to an alpha, who owns a security and surveillance company. Aside from being on lock down in the cabin, there’s no where else I would be safer than with Nathan.

Knocking on the door distracting me. “Foods here.” DJ bringing in some sandwiches, fruit, and drinks.

“Thank you DJ, my cousin will arriving soon, will you let me know when she gets here.”

“Of course Luna.” He bows and excuses himself. Nathan still on the phone.

I make a plate for Nathan and walk it to him. I set it down on the desk in front of him, he grabs my hand and kisses the inside of my wrist. His eyes full of love. I never believed in love at first sight but now I know what everyone has been talking about.

Nathan hangs up the phone. “ I only have one more phone call to make and then we can go home and get you situated.”

“My cousin will be here soon to help, I hope you don’t mind.”

“Of course not. She can stay the night at the pack house tonight if it will make you more comfortable.”

“Thank you.” We eat our lunches in a comfortable silence when DJ knocks on the door again, this time Valerie comes in behind him.

She runs up to and hugs me tightly.

“Is everything ok?” She looks me over, taking in the fact I don’t have my necklace on.

I walk over to Nathan as he stands “Valerie this is my mate, Nathan Cyrus.”

Valeries Jaw drops, followed by a high pitched squeal “oh Gia I’m so happy for you!”

“It’s a honor to meet you Valerie.” Nathan shakes her hand.

“No it’s an honor to meet you, Alpha Shaw.”

“Please, call me Nathan.”

“Valerie I need your help, we need to find a way to where I can leave and move to Jade Moons pack.”

“Easy. I’ll book us a spa night at the hotel and tell my parents it’s for the ball.”

Oh no. I forgot about the ball. And Greg, crap. I need to break off my date with him.

“We can go home and pack our bags and bring our things for the ball with us and I’ll stay at the hotel and you can go with Nathan.

“Valerie, I told Gia you are welcome to stay with us tonight. I’ll have a guest room set for you.”

“I would love to!”

I think for a minute. “Nathan are you free to be my date tomorrow?”

“Of course Princess. I was planning on going anyways.”

“We can pack my things during the start of the ball while everyone is distracted, then I can make my appearance, my true appearance, with you by my side and announce my departure from Willow Moon.”

“That sounds perfect.”

“But first I want to tell mama and pops. Tonight.” I tell Valerie “they deserve to know the truth.

Valerie agrees with me. Nathan has to make another phone call. Valerie and I decided it’s best to go get our things now and come back here to leave with Nathan.

DJ is assigned to follow us there and back though I know he’ll have to wait outside pack territory. Valerie seems hesitant on having a demon with us but I reassure her DJ is harmless, to us anyways. I put my necklace back on and grab my back.

It’s now or never.
