A shockwave of agony shot up my legs and straight into my spine as I slammed into the earth. I rolled crashing through a bed of rose bushes. Thorns shredded my exposed skin and what little was left of my gown.
I laid there for seconds, gasping for air.
I was alive.
"There she goes! Get the b***h!"
Adrenaline flooded my veins as I scrambled to my feet ignoring the throbbing ache in my joints.
"Don't let her reach the gates!" one of them howled.
