Three days had passed since the intense finale of the World Stadium Combat, and the whirlwind of events had left Aria both exhilarated and exhausted. The tension of the past few days had slowly dissipated, allowing her a moment to breathe a sigh of relief. The world now knew her name, and she had earned her place at the top of the ranking of the strongest awakened rookies.
The sun was shining brightly as Aria stood at the edge of the bustling city, her belongings neatly packed and ready for the move. The final preparations for her transition to the Royal Knight Empire basecamp were underway. The past few days had been filled with a flurry of activity: farewells to friends, packing up her belongings, and making arrangements for her new life.
Dean, Jazzy, and Vellya had all come to see her off, their faces a mix of pride and sadness. They gathered around Aria, their supportive presence offering a comforting anchor amidst the changes.
“Are you all set, Aria?” Dean asked, his voice filled with genuine concern. “I can’t believe how quickly everything has moved. It feels like just yesterday we were training together.”
Aria smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude for her friends. “I’m as ready as I can be. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m excited for what’s to come. I’ll miss you all, but I know this is the right path for me.”
Jazzy clapped Aria on the back, his expression full of encouragement. “You’ve earned this, Aria. You’re going to do great things at the Royal Knight Empire. Just remember to stay true to yourself and keep pushing forward.”
Vellya, though still busy with her new clan, took a moment to give Aria a warm hug. “You’ve been amazing, Aria. I’m sure you’ll make us all proud. Don’t forget to visit whenever you can.”
As the time approached for Aria to depart, Quincy arrived to escort her to the Royal Knight Empire basecamp. He greeted her with a welcoming smile, ready to guide her to her new home.
“Are you ready to go, Aria?” Quincy asked, his tone both professional and reassuring. “We’ve prepared everything for your arrival, and the transition should be smooth.”
Aria took one last look at her friends, feeling a mix of excitement and nostalgia. “I’m ready. Let’s go.”
With her belongings in tow, Aria followed Quincy to the transport waiting to take her to the Royal Knight Empire. The journey was filled with anticipation, her thoughts racing as she considered the new challenges and opportunities that awaited her.
Upon arriving at the castle, Quincy led Aria through the impressive corridors and into her new room. The space was grand and beautifully appointed, with luxurious furnishings and a stunning view of the surrounding landscape.
“This is your room,” Quincy said, gesturing to the opulent space. “We’ve made sure everything you need is here. There are toiletries, skincare products, and some clothes already prepared for you. You’ll also find the latest gadgets and several weapons at your disposal.”
Aria looked around in awe, her eyes widening at the sight of the well-stocked room. “This is incredible. Thank you for preparing all of this.”
Quincy smiled. “It’s our pleasure. Oh, and there’s someone you should meet. You’ll be sharing this room with Daphne. She’s from the Andersen clan and knows Jazzy well.”
As if on cue, the door opened, and a cheerful girl with bright eyes and an easy smile entered. She had a warm, welcoming demeanor that immediately put Aria at ease.
“Hi there!” Daphne said, extending a hand. “I’m Daphne. It’s so nice to finally meet you, Aria! Jazzy’s told me so much about you.”
Aria shook Daphne’s hand with a friendly smile. “Nice to meet you, Daphne. I’ve heard good things about you too. I’m excited to be rooming with you.”
Daphne laughed lightly. “Same here! We’re going to have a great time together. Let me know if you need anything or if you have any questions. I’ll be happy to help.”
Quincy gave them a nod and left, giving Aria and Daphne some time to settle in. As Aria unpacked her belongings and admired her new room, she felt a renewed sense of excitement and anticipation for the adventures and challenges that lay ahead.
Daphne sat next to Aria while helping her tidy up her things. “So, tell me more about Jazzy,” she said with a curious smile. “I’ve heard a lot about his antics.”
Aria chuckled, folding a shirt and placing it in a drawer. “Jazzy’s one of a kind. He’s got this charm about him that makes everyone feel comfortable, but he’s also fiercely loyal. I think that’s one of the reasons we all get along so well.”
Daphne nodded, her eyes twinkling. “He’s definitely got a reputation at Andersen. Did you know he was actually offered a spot in the Royal Empire? But he turned it down because of his loyalty to Lady Mildrith. He felt like he owed it to her for everything she’s done for him.”
“Really?” Aria said, her surprise evident. “I didn’t know that. It’s just like Jazzy to put others first. I wonder if he ever regrets it.”
Daphne shrugged, sorting through some of Aria’s books. “He doesn’t seem to. He’s pretty content where he is. Plus, he’s always surrounded by beautiful girls, which I think he enjoys a lot.”
Aria laughed. “Yeah, I’ve noticed. He’s got a way with the ladies. He’s always hanging out with groups of women. It’s like he has his own fan club.”
Daphne grinned. “That’s Jazzy for you. He loves the attention, but he’s also really respectful. He never oversteps his bounds. I think that’s why everyone likes him so much.”
Aria placed a framed photo of her friends on the nightstand, her heart warming at the thought of Jazzy and the rest of her friends. “It’s nice to know he’s always got our backs. I’m going to miss seeing him every day, but I’m excited for this new chapter.”
Daphne patted Aria’s shoulder. “And you’ll make new friends here too. We’re all in this together, and we’ll support each other no matter what. Plus, Jazzy’s not far away. You can visit him anytime.”
Aria smiled, feeling a sense of belonging. “Thanks, Daphne. I really appreciate it.”
“No problem,” Daphne said, giving her a warm smile. “Now, let’s finish unpacking and then maybe we can explore a bit. I can show you around the basecamp. There’s so much to see and do here.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Aria replied, feeling a surge of excitement. “Let’s get started.”
Daphne led Aria through the grand halls of the castle, her excitement palpable. “So, this is the main hall,” Daphne said, sweeping her arm towards the expansive room with high ceilings and ornate chandeliers. “It’s where we have our formal gatherings and ceremonies.”
Aria looked around in awe. “It’s stunning. I’ve never seen anything like this before.”
“I know, right?” Daphne said with a grin. “And over here we have the multi-purpose room. It’s used for everything from meetings to social events. It’s one of the busiest places in the castle.”
Aria nodded, taking in the room’s modern amenities and flexible layout. “I can see why. It looks like it can accommodate a lot of people.”
“Absolutely,” Daphne agreed. “And this is the training field,” she continued, guiding Aria to a large open area equipped with various training equipment. “We have regular drills here, and it’s where we hone our skills. You’ll love it.”
Aria’s eyes sparkled with anticipation. “I can’t wait to get started.”
Daphne then led Aria to the dining room, a vast space with long tables and an array of delicious-looking dishes laid out. “This is where we all come together for meals. It’s not just about eating; it’s where we catch up with each other and bond.”
“It smells amazing,” Aria said, taking in the aroma. “I’m looking forward to trying the food.”
“Definitely,” Daphne said. “And just beyond the dining room are the classrooms. We have various subjects, from advanced combat techniques to magic theory. It’s all part of our ongoing training.”
Aria peered into the classrooms, noting the advanced equipment and numerous scrolls. “This place is incredible. I didn’t realize how much there was to learn.”
“Most people don’t,” Daphne said, leading Aria to a large, private library. “This is the library. It’s one of my favorite places. We have access to ancient texts, magical tomes, and strategic manuals. It’s like a treasure trove of knowledge.”
Aria’s eyes widened with excitement. “I could spend hours here.”
“Same here,” Daphne said with a laugh. “And if you need anything else, we have the recreation village outside. It’s a bit like a small market, where you can find food, magic potions, weapons, and more. It’s perfect for when you need a break from training.”
As they walked outside to the recreation village, Aria marveled at the contrast between the bustling market and the tranquil castle surroundings. “This place is like a world of its own. I’m really going to enjoy it here.”
Daphne smiled warmly. “I’m glad you think so. The Royal Knights’ basecamp is unique, and it’s home to people from all walks of life. You’ll meet many different individuals with fascinating backgrounds. It’s part of what makes this place so special.”
Aria took a deep breath, feeling the excitement and possibility in the air. “Thank you for the tour, Daphne. I can’t wait to start this new chapter.”
“Anytime,” Daphne said, giving her a friendly pat. “Welcome to the Royal Knight Empire, Aria. We’re happy to have you here.”
