DEVON Usel’s shadow kept the sun from beating down on me as we progressed through the wasteland that we now lived in. The one thing she was finally good for I thought grouchily. Of all the people to have to escort me, Shamshiel had chosen her. She hadn’t really tried to talk to me, or even do much other than fly, stop to use the bathroom, and eat. She was thankfully letting me set the pace and had given me my weapons back.
