"For my Amby," she muttered as she unlocked the door of her room, her mind filled with the note from her family. She already memorized the words. "I am sorry that I had to leave you here. It is for your safety. Grandma and your late parents love you." Her grandmother must have written that note. Which side of the family was the grandmother from; maternal or paternal? Did that even matter? Amby shook her head. Evidently, her parents were already dead at that point, because grandma referred to her late parents. How did they die? She wondered. Was it a vehicle accident, or sickness? More importantly, what was grandma trying to keep her away from? She wanted Amby to be safe from something. Or could it be someone?
