The young girl gazed down at the pale woman lying on the dirty floor. Splotches of purple blood were pooled around this pale woman who was having her last few breaths. Meanwhile, a young thin girl who was kneeling next to the pale woman was continuously rubbing the dying woman's palm as if she would lose her mother's warmth. The young girl had hair the color of the midnight and eyes the color of the sunset. The tears continued rolling down her cheeks"Mother.... please wake up"The girl choked on her words and started rubbing her mother's hand more firmly." Elaine, grant me my last wish" the dying woman gently whispered with love in her eyes for the young girl who was continuously weeping."Mother....." The young girl attempted to look brave and grasped her mother's hand firmly as if promising the last wish which she wants her to fulfill."Be Brave my gir.." The dying woman started struggling with her breath and pointed to the small box. The young girl brought the box near to her mother"Mother ... what is it do you want? Is there anything inside it that can help you?" The young girl whispered gently as if she knew nothing can help her mother who has raised her. The dying woman tried to speak but slowly she closed her eyes traveling to a new realm leaving her young daughter alone in this cruel world."Motherrrrrrr .... please wake up mother " The young girl started shaking her mother so that she comes back hugs her. The young girl heard men with horses coming near her place so she started wiping her mother's purple blood from her dress. She knew that if they saw her mother's purple blood they will also kill her without any second thought because being purple blood was not possible in the realm where humans used to rule. They kill anyone if they think that might harm their domination. The young girl washed her face took the box which her mother pointed to and took her mother's ring from her mother's finger."Sorry, mother, I won't be able to give you a proper funeral" The young girl cried and went outside the small hut where she used to live with her mother. Elaine threw her mother's ring inside the fire and ran in the opposite direction so that the shoulders don't catch her and take her box away.
