The thick oak door was pushed open, like they were aware I was coming out already.
The same guard walked me back to my room.
I leaned against the shut door behind me. I slid down until I was now sitting on the bare cold floor.
My racing heart wouldn't stop.
I've never dreamed of a big ambitious life. All I dreamed of was a happy life where I would be loved and cared for.
My only desire was to be treated like human. For the verbal and physical abuse to come to end.
I've been treated better in a single month by people I hurt than by my own family my entire life.
I didn't hate it here. Infact I loved it here excluding Lynnie's father and the men around him. Everything was quite peaceful and delightful.
I didn't mind staying here my whole life just watching Lynnie laugh and grow. I'd be honored.
As long as I didn't offend him, everything was perfect.
With a content smile on my face. I picked myself up and headed straight to bed.
This wasn't the punishment or prison at all like I'd imagined he would subject me to.
It was great bliss. I drifted into sleep with a wide smile etched on my face.
**~~~~~~~~~**
I was awakened violently by non other than Lauryn De La Rosa.
She banged my door open, rushing in with a loud squeal about how today's was the girl's day out. Meaning me, her grandmother and her royal self.
“Lynnie's it's seven am.” I groaned, covering my face with a pillow while Mrs. Taylor chuckled at us.
“Pleaseeee.” She whined, pouting those lips of hers.
So I got up and we spent two hours getting ready.
I stepped into Lynnie's room for the first and gawked in shock.
This seven years old’s room looked something out of a Disney princess show.
All pink, blue and grey.
Her closet was the size of my entire room.
After picking out a dress for her via her insistent request, I got her into a cute white flowery dress and I styled her hair into two piggy tails. Securing the flower hair band I made for her on her head.
We got her shoe and jacket out, Incase it got too cold.
We headed back to my room and I got dressed in one of the cute little attires Mrs. Taylor got me the week I arrived here.
Lynnie wrapped her hands around my shoulders as I carried her down the stairs before setting her onto the floor.
We walked in on her father seated on a couch in the living room conversing with another man beside him and she marched towards him.
With a large smile on her face, he kissed her cheek and she gave him a little twirl. Posing one finger on her cheek.
I smiled at her cuteness. She ran back to my side the dragged me to the living room where her father was.
“Let's go daddy.” She sang and he stood immediately.
“Yes ma'am.” He murmured, picking her up as we reached the front door.
Five different cars were lined up in front of the house and about a dozen of men surrounded the cars.
The sight of so many men dressed in black had a chill running up my spine.
I knew the Mafia always had to have protection on but this was extra tight for a simple outing.
He pulled the door to one of the cars open. Nodding for me to get in without speaking.
He slid Lynnie in beside me and got into the driver's seat.
The ride out of the estate alone took almost thirty minutes.
Lynnie had her iPad with her so the one hour twenty minutes ride wasn't so painful with a chatter box around.
The car rolled into a magnificent compound that took an extra twenty minutes to end but I wasn't complaining.
The view was enchanting.
The car rolled to a stop in front of a mansion and I was beginning to think Lynnie would pass out from excitement.
I on the other hand was beyond nervous.
Two old couple stood above the stairs of the mansion like they'd been awaiting our arrival.
I recognized Nana and I didn't have a doubt in my heart who the man beside her was.
He stood gallant and tall. He was the splitting image of his son.
Lynnie did not wait another second the moment her father peeled the back door open for her.
She was bouncing up the stairs towards the man and squealing loudly.
“Papi.”
The older man had a silent smile on his face as his eyes watched her run up.
I could see the adoration for his grandchild in his eyes.
He watched her steps for her since she was too distracted to do it.
I stepped out of the car and followed Lynnie's father cautiously.
“My princess.” He picked her up and twirled her in the air.
She let out a high pitched giggle before turning to launch her Nana into a hug too.
Son and father stood opposite each other, merely greeting each other with a nod and a simple.
“Father.”
“Son.”
Which surprised me after seeing his public display of affection for his grandchild.
Nana came forward to her son, pulling him into a hug and kissing his cheek.
Her elegant face curled into a scowl as she held him. “Are you sure you eat at all?” She accused him.
“You complain about his weight everytime you see him mom, even when he's the size of three people.” A voice said from behind everyone.
A gorgeous lady came out holding Lynnie. I had no idea when she ran off.
I felt heavy eyes on me and I turned to find Lynnie's grandfather's eyes observing me.
“Who's this?” He asked bluntly while I stood like a statue.
His wife cut in. “Giselle.” She called, pulling me into a hug and she kissed my cheek.
I didn't flinch this time, already used to her doing this whenever she would come over the house in the last month.
I smiled nervously at her. “Lynnie's new nanny.” She said and I looked up at her in surprise.
How'd she know so fast.
Then I remember her telling me proudly once that she knew every secret there was to know when it came to her family.
“Hmm.” The man watched me suspiciously. “I didn't know nanny's looked this gorgeous this days.” He tilted his head to his son.
His wife slapped his hand arm and he rubbed it like it burned.
“Hilda told me about you. She said you were involved in Lynnie's kidnap right?” The lady holding Lynnie spoke.
