Oliver Iris silently handed me a fork, which I assumed was an invitation to join her. I walked round to the other side of the breakfast bar and sat down. Waiting for her to take the first bite I studied her face, bruising framed her right eye socket already. Despite her speedy healing it was still present, but at least she seemed to be using her shoulder normally now. I watched as she closed her eyes while savouring the cheesecake and found myself studying her beautiful face. When her eyes opened and caught me staring I quickly stuffed some cake into my face.
