As we sat the the breakfast table I could tell Alyssa was nervous.
“Stop” I said “You are part of this family now, you have nothing to worry about”
Her dad had called last night with alarming news. Christian hadn’t taken the loss of Alyssa well. It turns out that having planned to make her his Luna he was outraged that I had claimed her.
As we were marked and mated I didn’t know what he could do to change this, but I needed to check with Mum.
After everyone arrived I explained what we had been told to the rest of the family.
Mum stood up “What did your dad say he had been doing?” She asked Alyssa
“Only that he had asked dad to research the rules of the alpha of alphas competition, he was looking for a way to be eligible without a mate.
“Well that’s impossible.” Dad re
