Chapter 4 My Michael

210 Words
Erabella couldn't take her eyes off him. Coal black hair, sparkling brown eyes, he commanded the room. All eyes were on him, her's included. Her mouth watered. She felt herself quiver. Her shoulder sharply ached. Era rubbed her childhood scar. Michael strutted across the room, his huge logger boots stopped suddenly, pulling Erabella out of the spell he cast on her momentarily. She watched as he sniffed the air. His thick brows drew together as he scanned the room. As Erabella scampered from the room she could have sworn she heard a rumbling growl. Erabella hurried into the tree line. She didn't need anything from the gas station that badly. Meanwhile Michael searched the faces, just missing Erabella slip away. Mate. He frowned as he lost the scent. He'd always heard that the pull was unmistakable. He never believed it though. Ladies had loved him but he didn't care for those easy things. He liked a chase. He needed a challenge. Someone to keep him on his toes. He smirked as he slipped out the door. The scent lingered. She had to be near. Michael slowly turned, scanning for any movement. He strained to hear anything but it deathly silent. "Hmmm. Okay then." He chuckled and went back to work.
