Amber's POV.
My throat ached as I managed to swallow harshly on the dryness that had managed to encompass me totally.
His fingers felt rather blazing as he squeezed tightly on my hand, my annoyance growing as he pulled me through the airport.
"I need you to laugh heartily soon and please don't make weird sounds", he whispered yet again, as we strolled the long corridor, Sa and our boxes trailing behind us.
"There is absolutely nothing funny about how you are squeezing on my hand and how is it entirely possible to laugh heartily without making weird sounds?", I asked, stopping abruptly as he turned me over.
"You were shaking like a leaf earlier Amber, surely you don't expect me to let you out of my grasp", he said, dragging my body to his and planting a kiss on my forehead.
The look of shock on my face was surely not faux. He had completely taken me off guard and I loathed him even more.
"Your face!", he said, his hands brushing my chin slightly as a smile creeped on his face.
"What the f**k was that for?, I asked, immediately we got into the plane, the ticket were first class and we were basically the only ones here.
"Throwing tantrums is your biggest strength Amber", he said, crashing down on the chair.
"Shh, the staffs might hear you", Sa said, assuredly.
"Couldn't he give me a heads up? "Do you not see how potentially terrible, this might have been, Sa?", I barked, staring angrily at him.
"I clearly said, I wanted to give them a show", Fred said, eyes closed and relaxed.
"You simply should have gone into details, Fred", I said, frustrated.
My stomach rumbling loudly. Hunger with rage was such a terrible combination, I should know better.
"If this ruse is to work, I'm going to need you to drop this attitude and be spontaneous", he said, flicking his eyes open and staring at me for a second.
I couldn't help but imagine the look on Ivory's face when I told her, her idol was such a jerk.
"You surely make it so easy, being spontaneous!", I mused, going to fasten my seat belt as the speaker announced.
"Of course, I'm an actor", he replied, without sparing me a look.
The silence was deafening, Sa was awfully quiet as he kept searching through his bag. I possibly have overreacted but for a moment, I had forgotten all about the ruse.
It felt surreal when he kissed my forehead and even more real when he looked me in the eye, my chin in his beautiful hands.
I couldn't forget, certainly couldn't.
Surprisingly how I was going back to this town, in a worse dilemma than I had left it.
"Here, your new script", Sa said, flinging a file towards him as I focused my eyes out of the window.
Boredom was eating me thoroughly but I know I couldn't pick up my phone. Ivory will surely want an explanation and I wasn't exactly sure, if I was ready for that.
"Can't I have a good sleep, for once", he groaned, flipping the page hurriedly.
Good sleep? Somehow I had ruined his night. The question was, why have s*x with me, if he really didn't want it?.
I must have dozed off a bit because I could feel someone jerk me up.My vision was blurry as I tried to maintain my balance, gripping the chair slightly.
"We have landed, Amber", Fred said, "go and wash your face, that drool is disgusting", he said, pushing me slightly as he walked over to exit.
I washed my face thoroughly in the bathroom, applying a gloss and packing my hair into a bun.
"I must warn you, it's crazy outside that door, y'all will have to be convincing enough to fool that large number of people", Sa said, fixing Fred's collar.
The reality of this ruse, just dawned on me, as I walked outside the door, my breath picked up as I watched them yell and shout.
"Are you okay?", he asked, his eyes feigning concern as I got lost inside, there were the only thing that reminded me of normalcy yet they weren't exactly normal.
"Here", I said, stepping on my toes, as I tried to brush off the strand of hair that attempted to enter his eyes.
His stare was long and hard, piercing deep into my soul, mouth slightly parted as he whispered into my ears.
"Fast learner, I see!", he said, waving to a few fans as he led me outside the airport.
"Take your hands off me", I said, immediately we got into the car.
"Not the reaction I had hoped for, after that stunt earlier", he said, earning a low grunt from my throat.
"Amber, that was so good", Sa complimented, making me blush a little, "keep this up and we can fool Andy", he beamed excitedly.
"Andy?", I asked, curiosity gripping me tightly, influence my next action, as I turned to face Fred.
"He owns the biggest blog in town, that bastard somehow manages to have all of the juicy tea on every celebrity", Sa explained, with a scowl on his face.
His detest for the guy certainly ran deep, he almost sounded like Fred, when he spoke like that.
Fred's focus was on the script in his hands. His lips kept moving as he read the script, a smile somehow found it's way to my face.
I had always thought, people who read with their mouth moving without uttering a sound, dumb. So glad, he had fit into that category.
"Where are we dropping you off?", Fred said, lifting his face to look at me.
"Um! We are not dropping her off yet, y'all have a date by 8 pm", Sa announced,
"A date?", me and Fred answered in unison. At least we agreed on something for once.
"Yes guys, y'all need to develop some sort of chemistry.. Interact a little maybe, just maybe y'all have similar interests", he said, his face straight and facing ahead.
"Sa, you can't just mess with my schedule like that", Fred protested, as I sat down there defeated.
"It seems you must have forgotten, I'm your manager, isn't it my job to handle your schedule?", Sa replied, his tone heightened.
"Sam", Fred yelled, tossing the script asides.
"Guys, calm down", I motioned, moving quickly before they were exchange of blows.
"Can we maybe reschedule this date?", I said, making quotation marks with my fingers around the date.
"Amber, it is pretty much decided", Sa said, flashing me an apologetic smile.
