Chapter Twenty-Two I hated being right. Being “just friends” with Jax was hard. Over the past few weeks, I’d gotten to know him better, and I wished I hadn’t. He was the kind of guy who opened doors, said good morning to strangers, and ran blocks down the street to return a piece of paper that was accidentally dropped, just in case the person needed it.
