Time slowly moved, the dawn rising and the air turning crisp and fresh. The soft sounds and colours of the world waking touched my senses. I drifted in the serenity for a moment, only for it to be shattered seconds later as car lights hit the gates, throwing beams into my eyes and making me stand quickly; the heat of my mate vanishing before I'd even fully risen.
