Historian Searches for ‘Forgotten Planets’
System Zahl, Imperial University: It is said to be an impossible mission, but that is exactly what Professor Craig Christopher likes about the search for what he calls “forgotten planets.”
“No matter what your beliefs or background, there is something fascinating about this chapter in the cosmic history of human beings,” Christopher said from inside his library. “The era of the generational ship is chocked full of mystery and adventure.”
Christopher is beginning a university program to search the Zahlian archives for lost planets. These are star systems charted as destinations for generational ships but the vessels ultimately disappeared.
