CHAPTER THIRTEEN Aramis walked into the village tiredly and looked for the druid he had spoken with. He saw several people but didn’t recognize any of them. Making his way to the center of the village, he saw Kaldrick. The man hadn’t noticed him yet. He was talking with one of the druids. He also had a travel sack strapped to his back. As he neared the two men, Kaldrick noticed him. “My Lord?” he asked, several emotions shadowing his face. Aramis raised a hand in greeting, too tired to speak. Kaldrick wrapped him in a strong hug. Aramis didn’t try to fight him off. He was too exhausted. Kaldrick released him and looked him over. “You look rough,” he said with a grin.
