“Well,” the woman said, her voice smooth as honey. “What brings you to my home?” Aramis stuttered on his response, finding it hard to focus. Kaldrick cleared his throat next to him. He’d almost forgotten the man was there. He opened his mouth but no words came out. The woman sighed and spoke a word he didn’t understand and couldn’t remember. A purple robe flittered down from the ceiling and she grabbed it from the air. She slipped it on but didn’t tie it shut.
