Marianna’s POV
I sat there for a while, with the papers scattered around me. The tension in me raised instantly, accumulating in the magic of the lightning ball. I started shaking and the ball shook as well. I was lost and desperate, on the verge of panic. Then the ball exploded with light and I lost my sight for a while.
I opened my eyes and blinked, the colors and shapes returned slowly. The two patches of color, that regained their sharpness and occurred to be Antonia and Martha were leaning over me with concerned looks. I must have fallen on the ground because I was lying on my back. And the back of my head hurt.
”What happened?” Antonia asked. “We saw a flash and felt magic dissolving abruptly.”
