The car hit them head on. Patricia started crying.
“Mommy; daddy; can you hear me?”
“Mommy; daddy; why are you not talking to me?”
One of the people who saw the accident called nine eleven.
When the emergency bus arrives on the scene. David had already passed away, and the mother was hanging on for dear life.
They rushed the mom and daughter to the hospital.
But, sadly, by the time they arrived at the hospital, Betty had already passed away.
Patricia, had a mild concussion with a few broken bones.
The nurse called her immediate family.
Her grandparents, aunts and uncles came to the hospital.
They also call the Department Of Social Services.
A welfare caseworker came to the hospital.
“Hi, I am Patricia caseworker. My name is Sarah. I will be handling her case for now on. I was wondering if anyone in the family wanted to be her guardian?”
Sarah said.
“I’ll be her guardian.”
Annabelle replied.
“What’s your name?”
Sarah asked.
“My name is Annabelle. I am Patricia’s Aunt.”
Annabelle said.
Nice to meet you Annabelle. Where do you live, and is your house big enough to command her?
Sarah asked.
“I am her mother’s older sister. My husband, kids and I will move in to her house and help take care of her. We also have two young kids around the same age as Patricia.”
Annabelle replied,
“I will be making house visits to make sure that everything is okay.”
Sarah said
Patricia woke up and said,
Where are my mommy and daddy?
Hi Patricia, I am your aunt Annabelle and this is my husband, Daniel, and my two children, Keke and Peter.
I am so sorry to have to tell you this. But your mommy and daddy passed away.
My family and I will be living with you for now on.
