CHAPTER TWO

SILVERHILLS KINGDOM MORGASE NOLAN POV I sigh, “Mom,” falling into her embrace with tearful eyes. “My child, where have you been? I asked the maidens to look for you, but they could not find you. They searched the whole castle but could not even catch your scent. I have something for you; you are going to like it,” my mother says with a lovely smile. Realizing my face is not as bright as she would expect, she drags me to sit on her bed. “What is the matter, my child?” I told her about the nightmare Samara had. “Child, I presume you are coming from her room, right? That sloth of a girl. Did she say she saw me? Us? My plan for her or the Silver Throne?” “No. She didn’t. It’s something else she saw,” I reply with my hands wrapped in hers. “Mom, you see, I’m losing the throne the way things are going.” “What did she see?” My mother holds my hands tightly. At intervals, she uses her hand to push my head upward, carefully keeping my hair from covering my face, before running her hand all over it. “She said she saw the return of the vampires,” I reply with my head facing my feet. “Do you believe her?” My mother repeats the same gesture as before. With an outburst, I say, “Mother, you know so well that Samara is special!” I stand up with a fuming chest and start to pace all over the room, while my mother keeps following me from behind. “Listen, she can’t be sure. It is only a nightmare.” “Nightmare, you call it? It was a vision she saw. Do you remember when we planned the best option to get rid of that girl and go unsuspected?” “Yes, child, I do. It crosses my mind now. She just doesn’t want to die quietly. The potion is not effective, and we must now resort to something more strategic.” “Although I talked her out of it, it should worry you, Mother, before words start spreading like wildfire and the people demand you relinquish the Silver Throne to her to lead the army to defend this kingdom.” “You have done well, my child.” “I need more than your compliment, Mother. We no longer have time on our side. I need to claim the Silver Throne as soon as possible, now that twilight is coming, lest it becomes only a matter of time before she fulfills the last wish.” “I have my plans in motion already. You’ll see. Meanwhile, I have a surprise for you. Wendi!” My mother calls. The door is pushed open by a feminine finger, and in steps a tall, gorgeous, and blonde-haired lady. “Mom?” I could see beyond the lady’s transparent gorgeous gown. Her breasts were well-formed, pointed, and firm. I could tell by merely looking at them that she has never been with a man. “Come on, my child. I know you more than you do yourself.” My mother laughs back. “Who is she?” I ask as the lady stands in front of me, unshaken. “Wendi Ricmorre,” my mother whispers into my ear. “Ricmorre?” I whisper back into hers. “Hmm, hmm,” She gives a nod. “Daughter of Alpha Ricmorre. Leader of Rivalloo kingdom,” I whisper into her ear again. “The eldest daughter, just like you,” she whispers back into mine. Wendi has now moved. I assume she gave us time to talk about her, while she engaged herself by floating in my mother’s chamber. “What is she? Why is she here in Silverhills?” I ask, pointing at her while she is playing with the arts on the long shelf. “That is left for you to find out,” my mother says to me, leaving me clueless as to what Wendi’s visit could be all about. “Part of your plan?” I whisper in such a low tone into my mother’s ear. But she doesn’t answer right away. She gets up. Adjusts her robe and crown. “Ladies, I am leaving. Your arrivals gave the elders room to call for a small council meeting. They have waited long enough; I’ll go and hear what those old fools have to say.” she says. “Mother?” I yell as she leaves. “You’ll find out,” she replies, then closes the door behind us. “f**k….Fuck…Fuck!” I yell, fall on the bed, get up immediately, and throw a vessel on the bedside table, crashing against the wall. “Is there a problem, Princess?” Wendi asks as she walks to me. “Yes… I mean, no!” I yell at Wendi. “You’re unbelievably gorgeous, as they say you are. What are you, a goddess of beauty?” She chuckles as she moves closer to me in her revealing gown. “Thanks, but no thanks, Miss. I could say the same about you, too.” Wendi now stands in front of me. “I’m flattered by you. But have you seen him? My half-brother? You two would make a good couple.” She pauses, touches my hair, then I turn away. “I guess he should be gallivanting your castle with all your maidens lurking around him like flocks of sheep without a shepherd,” she smirks. “So….” I turn to her. “He’s twenty-one, you know. Still has no mate yet.” Wendi laughs then turns away from me towards the long shelf littered with arts. She continues, “The lad has hopes that I’m so sorry he…” She smashes a big part of the broken vessel with a powerful stomp that crushes it into pieces. “I’m so sorry, he might not even live long enough if he decides to take our father’s throne.” “Your brother?” I laugh and begin walking away from her as I leave my mother’s room for mine. “Half. Half-brother, my darling. Oh, come on! Give that look to the malleable ones. You can’t pretend to me; even as I stand here, my wolf sniffs the darkest emotions that embody your heart for that little girl you play the role of nice sister to. Why can’t you just cut the bullshit and put the knife on her throat, ugh? Cause if I were you, I would have done so long ago.” “You don’t know me,” I laugh, leaving her. “Trust me, I do.” She follows me, then closes the door. We walk right through the passage, take a left turn. We pass Samara’s room and take another passage then get to my room. “Interesting,” I reply after opening the door. She enters and shuts the door. Wendi goes up to my bed and lies on it while I sit on a chair. “Desert-Wolf, you think I came all the way from Rivalloo without doing my homework?” she asks. “What did you just call me?” My eyes beam from their sockets. The thought that we haven’t met before made me curious how she got to know that I am the Desert-Wolf, the one promised to hold enormous powers in years to come. She gets up from the bed and goes straight to me on the chair. She lowers her body so that her hips are against mine while her hand moves all over my face: “LET’S SAY MY WOLF IS AS POWERFUL AS YOURS.” “Stop it. Stop that! Don’t f*****g use telepathy with me.” I shut her up after she said those words without moving or opening her mouth. “COME ON, DESERT WOLF. I AM HERE TO PROPOSE ALLEGIANCE. IF WE WORK TOGETHER, WE WILL ACHIEVE OUR GOALS, TO THE VERY LEAST OF THEM ALL.” She uses telepathy; without opening or moving her mouth, she continues: “STOP FIGHTING IT. LET IT OUT, I KNOW YOU WANT TO, SO BE FREE.” She grabs my hands and places them on her well-formed, gorgeous breasts. “Mysterious girl,” my wolf says to me. “She wouldn’t like to know the darkest side of you, Morgase,” my wolf taunts. I stop Wendi from using telepathy to communicate by hindering her from forming words, and she backs off and starts talking with her mouth. Wendi sits on my laps. My right hand grips her buttocks and my left hand grips her breasts. I was the one doing the work, touching every part of her body I wanted while she does the talking. “I want the Rivalloo throne. My father, Alpha Ricmorre, is not feeling too well. He might even die before I get back to RI-va LLOO… Ouch….” She smiles sheepishly. “Ha..ha..ha, the old man had his successor’s meeting with the elders behind my back. He chose my half-brother, Axel, to be his successor….Sssh, yes….ha..ha..ha, when I asked him when he was going to declare me as his successor, he lied that the time has not yet come.” She pauses, grips my shirt from both sides, then rips it apart, revealing my breasts too. “The old man thinks I am not aware. Ouch….oh…yes, yes…he, ouch…. calls it patriarchy, letting my brother succeed. I call it madness for hoping that I would let his decision go without recourse. Yeah, yea, oh…oh, yes….So I’m here because, ouch,… you suffer the same fate as I, and this could give us an edge if we are allies. Ouch…oh..oh, yes…we can put an end to our father’s treachery and claim our place. But certainly, not without spilliinnnnng bloooooodds.”
