CHAPTER 6 – BLOODLINES & BETRAYAL (Rated 18+) The day after the perfect system was suspended, a storm rolled over Ibiam Girls like a silent curse. The sky was gray. The students, quieter. The seniors, visibly shaken. But Cynthia? She had never been more focused. She wasn’t fighting for just herself anymore— She was fighting for every girl who had been cornered, touched, threatened, or silenced. And that war was just beginning. HOSTEL ROOM – LATE NIGHT Grace was brushing her hair, humming, while Cynthia flipped through her black diary again. Cynthia(murmuring): “There’s something that doesn’t make sense…” Grace: “What thing?” Cynthia sat up and turned the page. Cynthia: “Senior Boma… she wasn’t always this powerful. Two terms ago, she didn’t even have a position.” Grace: “You’re right oh. It was like boom, suddenly she was close to the principal.” Cynthia: “Exactly. Something helped her rise. Or someone.” She stared at the photo clipped inside the diary: Boma and the Vice Principal—laughing together at a staff meeting. Cynthia narrowed her eyes. NEXT DAY – TEACHERS’ BLOCK While students were in the lab for practicals, Cynthia excused herself. She walked slowly around the back of the admin block, until she reached a staff quarters window—slightly open. Voices drifted out. Vice Principal:“If the girl speaks again, we’ll be exposed.” Unknown Voice: “Then shut her down. Quietly. She’s still just a student.” Vice Principal:“That’s what we said last time. And now she’s dismantling everything.” Cynthia froze. Unknown Voice (calmly): “Make it look like a scandal. Frame her. Or frame the boy.” Vice Principal: “Stephen?” Unknown Voice: “Exactly. Break her trust.” Cynthia’s breath caught in her throat. This wasn’t just school politics. This was a cover-up. EVENING – Government College, Field Behind the Chapel Cynthia didn’t waste time. She met Stephen near the old fence—where it all began. He smiled as she approached, but the look in her eyes killed the smile. Stephen: “What’s wrong?” Cynthia: “They’re planning to destroy us. You especially.” Stephen(stepping closer): “What do you mean?” She looked him dead in the eye. Cynthia: “They want to frame you. Plant something. A message, a fake relationship. Something to make it look like you manipulated me.” Stephen’s jaw tightened. Stephen: “Let them try. I’ll burn the whole school down before I let them touch you.” Cynthia(softly): “That’s the problem. If you react… you lose.” Stephen’s breathing slowed. He nodded. Stephen: “Then we play smarter.” They sat on the field, side by side, no words—just the cold wind and two warriors planning their next move. NEXT WEEK – SCHOOL ASSEMBLY The investigation continued. Anonymous letters from juniors began to surface—stories of harassment, threats, even physical abuse. One girl's story mentioned a teacher's name. The school gasped. “Mr. Daniel.” “He was so quiet.” “He taught biology. I knew something was off.” The Principal stood before the crowd, face pale. “We will get to the root of this. No one is above consequences.” But behind her, the Vice Principal looked straight at Cynthia. No words. Just silent hatred. CAFETERIA, LATER THAT DAY Grace burst into the dining hall, breathless. Grace: “Cynthia! Trouble o!” Cynthia: “What happened?” Grace: “Stephen has been called in for questioning by the school board. They say he was found with… photos.” Cynthia: “What kind of photos?” Grace(whispers): “You. Private ones. But fake.” Cynthia’s heart sank. Her stomach turned. The betrayal hit like a car crash. Someone forged them. And they knew exactly what they were doing. SCHOOL BOARD OFFICE – LATER Stephen sat alone in the boardroom, stone-faced. Board Member: “These are serious accusations, young man.” Stephen(calmly): “They’re fake. I’ve never taken those photos. And Cynthia knows that.” Another Member: “Yet they were found on your locker drive. Labeled under her name.” Stephen didn’t flinch. Stephen: “Check the timestamps. Check the drive metadata. I don’t have anything to hide.” Just then, the door opened. Cynthia walked in. Her voice rang clear. Cynthia: “If you’re accusing him, accuse me too. Because I trust him with my life. And I’m not backing down.” The board was silent. Stephen looked at her, heart full. LATER THAT NIGHT – CYNTHIA’S HOSTEL ROOFTOP They sat under the stars. Just them. Stephen: “They’re trying to ruin us.” Cynthia: “Then we’ll ruin them first.” She passed him a small flash drive. Stephen: “What’s this?” Cynthia: “Every secret the Vice Principal ever hid. Every payment. Every forged file. Every silenced complaint.” Stephen held it like it was gold. Stephen: “Where did you get this?” Cynthia(smirking): “Let’s just say… the Labour Prefect wasn’t as loyal as they thought.” TO BE CONTINUED... 🔥 Chapter 7: “The Strike” unlocks with 100 reacts! ❤️ Should Cynthia expose the Vice Principal next?
