I started at the little dots bouncing up and down on my phone as I made my way down to the dining hall. Wasn’t going to wait any longer.
Me: Happy Birthday Kae! Just because you are 12 minutes older doesn’t mean you need to wait exactly at 6:12 am my time :P get some more sleep. Love ya big twin brother.
Kaelith: HAHA Happy Birthday Ren! Gotta get up anyway. Love ya too little twin sister.
I smiled and laughed to myself. Tucking my phone in my back pocket. The scent of cinnamon and warm syrup met me as I walked into the dining hall. My smile grew as I opened the door to the kitchen. Isolde and Elyria were laughing, standing in front of the stove, flipping French toast.
“Can I help?” I said with a smile. The sisters jumped.
“Couldn’t you at least pretend to wait for the surprise?” Isol
