The Jade Wolf Prophecy

Chapter Sixteen- Brandon POV

    I’m in awe of my mate, she not only healed the boy, I didn’t know she could do that, but she also stood up against me. At first I was upset because she bruised my ego but she was right. He was just a boy. 

    We walked up to the Alpha’s office, which would soon be mine now that I have a mate. There were three guards sitting on the couch, when we walked in they bowed their heads at us when we walked in. 

    “What happened tonight gentlemen?” My dad asked calmly. I think it intimated them more on how calm my dad was. 

    “There was a she-wolf…” The first guard started to say, but I grabbed him by the throat.

    “If you tell me this happened because of your d**k, I will kill all three of you right now and be done with it!” I yelled, the guard struggling to breath in my grasp. Adonis is in my head, telling me to kill everyone but Rose. 

    Rose came around and grabbed my hand that was holding the guard. She looked into my eyes and I was hypnotized at once. I released him and grabbed her by the waist pulling her into me. Letting her scent consume me. My eyes never leave her eyes. Once I was calm, I looked at my dad letting him know he could continue the questioning, but I didn’t let go of Rose. Adonis is almost purring in my head. 

    “What about the she-wolf and who was she?” My dad asked.

    “We have never seen her before, we just assumed she was an Omega. She brought us food, saying it was from the Future Luna. That everyone was celebrating the soon to be Alpha finding his mate. We gladly took the food, next thing I knew we were waking up to Darrel, yelling at us, shaking us awake.” The guard said, the other two nodding their heads in agreement. 

    “Can you describe the she-wolf?” Rose asked, I had a feeling she already had an idea, but wanted to confirm it.

    “Long blonde hair, big, like big brown eyes. Like fate pretty.” One of the other guards said.

    “Crystal.” Rose whispered. 

    “You three are free to go. Rest and we will talk more in the morning. If you remember or think of anything important, tell one of us immediately.” My dad said. 

    The guards started to walk out, but the third guard who has remained quiet for some time stayed seated.

    “Yes?” My dad said, surprised that the guard was willing to talk already.

    “The creepy guy kept yelling that the Jade Wolf will be his. The blonde chick said she would help him get the Wolf, if he helped her make you forget about Rose.” The guard said.

    “How do you know all of this if you were unconscious?”

    “I ate less of my food, so it took longer for it to work on me. But it paralyzed me, it was like I couldn’t talk, move, even blinking was a struggle. It was easier to keep them closed. I’m not sure how it affected everyone else, but that was how it affected me. I only ate the dinner roll.” He said, standing up to leave. 

    “Thank you.” Rose said.

    “Anything for you Luna.” Bowing his head to her in respect. 

    Once the guard had left, I turned to my dad, “What the hell is the Jade wolf and what does it have to do with Rose?” 

    “That is what I was wanting to meet in the library with you both about. Your mom and I found information about a pure white wolf, your mom said she felt like this was about Rose. I guess she was correct.” My dad said. 

    He stood up and gestured for us to follow him. Once we got to the library, we found my mom with tons of books sprawled all over the table she was sitting at. She seemed deep in thought when we walked over to her. My dad walked over to her and kissed the top of her head, pulling her from her thoughts. 

    She turned and looked at us giving us her usual warm smile.

    “Hello, why don’t you both come sit with us and I will tell you everything I have discovered so far.” She said.

    I walked over to the table and pulled out the chair for Rose, her cheeks turned a light shade of pink when she sat down. My sweet, innocent, strong mate I thought to myself. I chuckled at her shyness. 

    “There is a prophecy of a pure white wolf, who is touched by the Goddess Selene herself. The wolf will be paired with a human who is a witch. Both will have the same jade green eyes.” My mom said, we all looked at Rose. Those green eyes that call to me.

    “It says that this she-wolf will be able to control all the elements, can heal, as time goes on she will learn all the powers she possesses. Her mate will always be an Alpha. After they mate and mark each other, her powers will fully emerge, but it will also make the Alpha stronger. He will be the strongest Alpha ever, to protect his Luna. Together they will bring peace to our world.”

    My mom finished saying, I had to admit it was a lot to take in. I looked at Rose who seemed to be frozen in place. Her eyes wide in shock. I grabbed her hand and gave her a gentle squeeze. She took in a deep breath and looked at me in the eyes.

    “But I’m just me. This prophecy can’t be about me.” She said. I could feel the nervousness within her. 

    “How about we go to the mountain tomorrow morning, letting you shift and we will know for sure then if it is about you. Then we can plan accordingly.” I said gently to her.

    She sighed and nodded her head. I know she just needs time to process all of this. I mindlinked Darrell explaining all of this. He had no doubt this was about Rose. Confirmed that her wolf’s eyes were the exact same color. 

    I mindlinked the entire pack, letting them know if anyone sees Crystal, Alicia, or Jason to notify me immediately and they are to be detained. We have our best trackers looking for them now. Hopefully in the morning we will have more answers on where they went and how Crystal knew about them.

    “Thank you both for all of this research. I think we all need some rest now. We can talk more about the prophecy tomorrow after we see her wolf.” I said, helping Rose out of her chair. She seemed still in shock, so I picked her up in bridal style and took her to our room.
