The Jade Wolf Prophecy

Chapter Nineteen- Rose POV

    I told my mom and Luna I would meet them in a bit to go over the ceremony plans. Knowing my dad and Brandon would be busy with training the pack warriors. Since my k********g, they both have really buckled down on the training and structure of the guards. Everyone has to prove they are worth being a warrior. All the warriors must either fight my dad or my mate to make sure they can protect our pack. I’ve noticed the changes within the pack, people are showing more pride in their pack. Having Brandon take some of the responsibilities from his dad has helped as well. The Alpha seems less stressed. There hasn’t been an attack in the human village either, maybe whoever was doing it has forgotten about me.

    I wanted to go to the hospital and check on the little boy. The pack hospital looked like a massive doctors office. It was a cozy yellow color, with chairs in the waiting room. I walked over to the large counter and asked about the boy. The secretary let me know that the doctor would be right out to talk to me. 

    A few minutes later, I hear the doctor call me over to him. 

    “Luna Rose, if you could please follow me into the boys room and I can explain a little more of the situation.” He said, I nodded my head and followed him. 

    Walking in the boy looked like he was peacefully sleeping, but hearing the monitor beeping, I knew there was something wrong. I sat in the chair to the left of the boy, away from the cords and monitors, I didn’t want to disturb the machines.

    “Luna, the boy is in a magical coma.” The doctor stated plainly. 

    “How so, he was talking to us, then had a seizure. I tried to heal him.” I said, looking down thinking I had failed the boy.

    “Luna, it's a magical one. It was a spell that took effect because the boy didn’t return when he was supposed to, but instead of dying he is in a coma, because you healed him. I wish I had a witch that could come look at him and tell me what we can do to help him. I’m not sure how long he can survive like this or what state he will be in when he does wake.”

    “I know of a witch I trust to come check on him. I will have her come here. Please be welcoming, she is a kind woman.” I said, the doctor looked puzzled but nodded his head. 

    I linked my mom asking her to contact Milly and to ask her to check on the boy for me. I thanked the doctor for all that he was doing and then left to meet Luna for tea.

    I walked to Luna's office, I was surprised at how it looked. It was so warm, the fireplace going, a beautiful bay window overlooking the forest. There were so many shelves lined with tons of books. I was envious, I would spend hours there reading. 

    “I’m glad you enjoy the office, after the ceremony it will become your office. I can help you decorate it if you would like.” Abby said with her kind smile on her face. She really is one of the sweetest women in the pack.

    “No, it’s perfect. I didn’t know you were a lover of reading.” I said, gesturing to all of the books in the room.

    “Oh yes dear, I read any time I have a chance. Raising children and being the mother figure of the pack can take a lot of time. But I still try to make sure I get at least an hour a day to read and sip on tea in my window.” She said. I couldn’t help but just stare out the window and be amazed by the view. 

Then she added, “Anytime you feel overwhelmed, feel free to come in here and enjoy it. Like I said, soon this office will be yours anyways.” She said.

    Shortly after my mom came into the office, letting me know that Milly would be here this evening to check on the boy. I linked the doctor letting him know to expect her. 

We chatted a lot about what to expect at the Luna and Alpha Ceremony, since I’ve never been to one it helped me understand what to expect. We drank some delicious tea and talked a little more, but then I started to feel off, angry almost.

    I realized the emotion wasn’t from me, but from my mate. I excused myself to find him. I let the bond lead me to him. He was in an office I’ve never been to. I almost knocked but I heard yelling coming from the other side.

    “I told you b***h, I have a mate, if you ever bring your sorry ass in here, I will have you locked in a cell. Now get out of my face.” I could hear the anger and power radiating from Brandon. A sense of pride was beaming from me. 

    I decided to go into his office without knocking, I wanted to see the she-wolf trying to get my mate. She was a tall brunette with caramel skin tone, she was pretty but the way Brandon looked at her was just in disgust. 

    The girl gathered her clothes and scurried and passed me in tears. I just smirked, I know I should feel bad but I don’t, everyone knows that I’m Brandon’s mate. Brandon put his strong arms on the desk, resting his face in them.

    I walked over to him and touched his shoulder. I instantly saw his body relax under my touch. “Are you okay babe?” I asked him.

    “I am now that you are here.” He said as he grabbed my waist and pulled me in front of him, leaning against the desk.  I ran my hands through his dark hair, hoping to calm him down.

    “What happened? I felt angry through our bond and I wanted to check on you.” I said. 

    “Well, after training I was looking for you everywhere and I couldn’t find you. I couldn’t link you either. Then I noticed my door was ajar. I thought maybe it was you inside waiting for me, but it was that girl instead. Naked sitting on my desk.” He said, I could hear the detestation in his voice.

    “I’m sorry you couldn’t find me. Maybe I accidentally put a block on my mind linking? I’m not sure. I’m still learning the in’s and out’s for that since I’ve only had my wolf for a short time. As for where I was, I went to the hospital to check on the boy. Then I had a nice visit with your mom. Your mom is great by the way. I always knew she was nice, but I have a lot in common with her.” I said, trying to distract him.

    “Please make sure I can always link you. I can’t lose you again Rose. I just can’t.” He said. I felt fear through our bond. 

    This broke my heart, this big strong Alpha was afraid of something and I was the cause of it. I felt guilt in my heart also. If he would have been mated with someone else then he wouldn’t have to go through any of this. Followed by jealousy, I couldn’t bear the thought of him with anyone else.

“I don’t want anyone else. So get that out of your head right now.” He said gruffly. 

    I wanted to comfort him and let him know I was right here and not going anywhere. So I did the only thing I could think of. I lifted his face to meet mine and I crashed my lips to his. As soon as our lips met, tingles erupted all over. The pleasurable sparks going through my body. 

    He kissed me back eagerly. I felt the fear, the love, passion, but also the need to be close through his kiss. Once we broke apart, we both were breathing heavily but staring in each other’s eyes. Jasmine purring in my mind about how in love with our mate she was. 

    “I have a surprise for you.” He said to me, grabbing my hand and guiding me out of his office. 

    “Where are we going?” I asked giggling.

    “You will see.” He said, pulling me further into the forest.
