The Jade Wolf Prophecy

Chapter Twelve- Rose POV

    I stood up and created my fire light in my palm again and began looking around for a way out. There was only one door and that must have been the doorway Jason left. 

    “Jasmine, we need a plan for what might be on the other side of that door. There might be others outside. My flame will only draw attention” I said.

    “I’m with you Rose, if you fight, I fight. I will give you my remaining strength to get us home. With that you should be able to use your wolf sight to see and hear.” With her words, I felt my energy and strength grow, but I felt her presence weaken. I was ready to fight and I would if I had too. 

    “Are you leaving me Jasmine?”

    “No Rose, I just need rest. The Wolfsbane is affecting me more than you. I’m giving you extra strength just to get back to our mate. Then we both can rest.” She said, and I nodded my head back to her.

    I focused on my wolf sight and hearing so that I would be able to see better in the dark. I opened the door slowly and as quietly as I could, hoping to not alert anyone that I was free. This door led to a series of offices, all empty. On the opposite side of the offices there was another door. I dashed for the door, and turned the knob. 

    Morning sunlight hit my face. It took some time for my eyes to adjust to the light. I slowly walked around the building, I needed to get my bearings so I knew which direction was north. As I walked around the corner, I saw a car pulling up and I stopped walking. Jason got out of his vehicle and a woman with a hat and hoodie walked up to him.  His oversized glasses he wore for class everyday were gone. His brown hair slicked back, but his tall, slender figure was still the same. Overall, he was just a creepy man. I guess the glasses helped him look more human.

    “Anything happened since I left?” He asked the woman

    “Not a peep, so the wolfsbane must be working. Are you ready to take her?” The woman asked.

    “Yes.” He said, heading towards a door.

    “Good, the sooner the b***h is gone, the sooner my life gets better!” She spat and turned to follow Jason. 

    Oh my goddess, it was my best friend Alicia. She is helping him kidnap me and calling me a b***h. Why? We have always been friends.

    “That b***h is the love of my life, so watch it. I thought you guys were friends anyway?” 

    “Everyone likes the innocent Rose. Even my own father likes her more. Worries about her, talks about her. No one even notices me when Rose is around. Once she is gone, my dad can focus on his real daughter. Plus there is an open Luna position.” She laughed saying the last part. 

    She was stabbing me in the back out of jealousy, seriously? Suddenly we heard howls in the distance. That must be North, I needed to head that direction, but I had to wait until they went inside. After hearing the howls, Jason rushed inside, but Alicia ran into the woods. Probably so she didn’t get caught being the backstabber that she was. 

    Once they both were out of sight I ran towards the sounds of the howls. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. After a few seconds, I heard Jason yelling, looking for me. I didn’t look back, I just kept running and running.

    Suddenly a small brown wolf tackled me to the ground and growled at me when I tried to push it off of me. I knew it was Alicia.

    “There you are my love. I told you to be good. Now I must punish you.” Jason said as he walked up to me, he pulled out a syringe and injected me again. I could feel my power weaken even more and I knew it was because it was hitting Jasmine. 

    “Jasmine, just hold on a little longer, they are almost here.” I said to her, I could hear her whimpers in the back of my mind. 

    Jason grabbed me by my hair and started to drag me back towards the warehouse. I screamed and kicked with all my might, but nothing was helping. So I did the only thing I could do.

    “Jason, I will never love you back. You are a pathetic excuse of a man.” I screamed at him.

    He stopped walking, turned to look me in the eyes and he punched me in the nose. Instantly I felt blood burst out of my nose. He punched me a few more times then finally stopped.

    “Don’t you ever talk to me like that. I’m the only man you will ever be with. If you do not stop I will just kill you. Because that Mate of yours will never get you. I promise.” He said.

    He finally let me go, and I laid there. I focused on the fire within, him nor Alicia will be walking away from this. I willed my fire to come to me. As the flames grew in front of me, I turned to look at Alicia first.

    “You were my friend and you betrayed me. You want to take my mate from me and you helped him kidnap me. I will make sure everyone knows what you have done.” I burned her feet and hands, making sure she couldn’t go anywhere. 

    Then I turned to Jason, he looked smugly at me, but his face dropped when he realized he couldn’t put my fire out. I was now the one in complete control. 

    "You harassed me and ruined everything for me. You made me feel afraid and weak. You hurt my wolf and turned my best friend against me. You will pay for everything you have done. Do you have anything left to say?” I asked him.

    “They will not stop hunting you without me. You think I make you feel afraid? There are far worse people out there than me. I wanted to keep you safe. But if you stay in the pack with him, the other Alpha will come for you.” He said, with fear in his eyes. I couldn’t tell if he was lying or if he was telling the truth.

A huge black wolf came and collided into Jason. Jason was knocked unconscious. I could recognize my mate anywhere. 

    “Adonis, don’t kill him, he has more information that we need. After we get the information you can kill him.” I said to him walking up to pet his long jet black fur. I had missed him and I didn’t even realize it until now.
