Author’s Note
Globe, Arizona, is a real town, located in Gila County in the south-central part of the state. Like Jerome, it’s a former mining town, although it has its own particular flavor. For the purposes of this series, however, I’ve changed some of the town’s elements and embellished others. The San Ramon Apache, while based on the San Carlos Apache in the region, are my own invention…for reasons that will become obvious as the series goes on. Likewise, most of the local points of interest are also invented, although some of them are based on real-life counterparts.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this visit to Globe, and will return for Selena and Calvin’s continuing adventures.
