Josh arrived at the station at quarter to eleven, and was relieved to see Matt was at his desk.
“Hey, you got a minute?”
“I don’t know,” Matt said without looking up from the file in front of him. “You going to beat me up if I say no?”
“That’s why I need to talk to you.”
“Yeah, why not? But keep your hands to yourself. You could get arrested in a place like this.”
“Not if Parsons was on the case,” Josh scoffed. “He’d think you hit me with your face.”
“True.” Matt rose, and walked over to a quiet corner of the station. Josh followed, and when Matt reached the window and leaned on the edge, he asked, “What’s up, Josh? You need to reinforce your threats?”
