Chapter 13

“That’s what I thought, get into the car.” Trey gestured towards me, his body towering over me in an intimidating manner. Thoughts of the crazy ride I had in the car with him crossed my mind. Walking away, I got into the car with a grumpy expression, looking out the window and trying my best to pretend he wasn't there. I hated myself for letting myself get into this mess. The more I thought I was going to get myself out, the more I got entangled in this s**t! The drive home was silent, I couldn’t tell if he was pissed at me or something else, I wanted him to at least talk, tell me I sucked at spreading my legs to get f****d by him, snap at me, just something… anything but the silence I was faced with. “Want to get something on our way?” he finally asked, breaking the silence. I slowly glanced at him, the angry lines on his face had disappeared, a thin smile on his lips as he spoke. I nodded my head. “There's no need for that.” “School was exhausting and I know most of your strength is sapped out from…” he cleared his throat. “Earlier.” “I'm fine actually, I only need to rest,” I spoke in a meek voice, making sure not to look at him, for some reason I wanted him to apologize for how he treated me. What was i thinking? There wasn't a need for that, I guess I would need to talk to my mother about settling with them, perhaps I should rent a different apartment, I don't think I would be able to look them in the eye knowing what we had both done. The car stops in front of a big mansion, one I had seen in movies or on the news while they were talking about wealthy people. Never would I have thought I would see one face-to-face or even live in one. The engines went off and Trey walked out, shutting the door while I remained rooted to the seat. “Do you plan on sitting in there all day?’ Trey asked, staring at me through the windshield. Refraining from rolling my eyes, I unhooked the seat belt and got out. Shutting the door behind, without sparing me a look he made his way into the house. My heart sank as I stepped inside, a musky vanilla scent hitting my nose the moment I walked in, the interior was warm and stylish… mostly luxurious with a relaxing aura that made me feel at home. Trey stopped abruptly and turned to me, I stopped just as soon as I almost walked into him since I had been right behind him. He stated frown at me with an unreadable expression. “Your room is the least on the left, your mom already prepared your things in there.” He explained and before I could ask further, he walked away. What an absolute bummer.” I rolled my eyes and continued walking up the stairs, my eyes staring curiously at everything while trying to hide my awe. This is a crazily big house for just an alpha and his sons, I could feel a tinge of loneliness brewing in here, my eyes stepping leaving a bit of echo around. Walking down the hallway, I passed by a few rooms and dropped at the one given to me, twisting the knob I walked inside. A fresh woody scent hit my nose, my lips dropped open, and the dark teal coloured walls and cream interiors gave the room a perfect fit. A king-sized bed in the corner, the room felt bold and daring, a perfect opposite of my former room. Why would mom want this for me? A thin frown spread on my lips, I didn’t like it when she does things out of nowhere. It was scary to move because she does things so unpredictably. My hand touched every piece of furniture until I stopped in front of a desk, a pistol lay on it quietly. A gun? Why was it here? Had my mother finally wanted me out of her life so this was a message from her? I knew it! I was one obstacle that would forever make her unhappy and it drenched me with so much guilt… I hated it! I slowly reached for the gun, grabbing the cold metal in my shaky hands, I stared at it for a while when my eyes focussed on something else, a necklace sat on the desk as well, I had failed to notice it because it was hidden underneath the gun, reaching out for it, I curiously opened it and stared at the picture in it. It was of a beautiful woman I had never seen, I couldn’t possibly be my mother, this woman’s beauty was on a whole other level, her brunette blunt cut hair and the warm smile that found its way to her eyes were appealing to look at. What was it here? I c****d my brows, turning my gaze back to the gun when I felt someone behind me, turning around in shock, strong hands pushed me against the wall, the gun slipped from my hand and before I knew it , it was aimed at my head. “Who the f**k are you?” A deep masculine voice leaned in my ear. I froze, unable to recover from the shock, his eyes widened. “What are you doing here?” Why was I being pinned to the wall? Who the hell is he?
