Arie sat in her office, surrounded by piles of papers and folders. She had been working on the case for weeks now, trying to piece together the bits of information she had gathered. Despite her best efforts, however, she was no closer to finding the truth. Just then, her phone rang. It was Detective Johnson, one of her colleagues. "Arie, I think we might have something," he said excitedly. "There's a new lead in the case. I'll fill you in when you get here." Arie grabbed her coat and headed out of the office, her heart pounding with excitement. She had been waiting for a break in the case, and now it seemed like it was finally here. When she arrived at the station, Detective Johnson was waiting for her. He led her into a small conference room and closed the door. "Arie, I've been looking into one of the suspects in the case," he said. "And I think I've found something that could be a game-changer." Arie leaned forward, eager to hear what he had discovered. Detective Johnson pulled out a file and began to explain. As he spoke, Arie felt a growing sense of excitement. This could be the breakthrough they had been looking for. But just as she was about to ask a question, the door to the conference room burst open. Arie and Detective Johnson looked up, shocked to see two uniformed officers standing in the doorway. "Detective Johnson, you're under arrest," one of the officers said sternly. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law." Arie's jaw dropped as Detective Johnson was taken away in handcuffs. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. All along, she had trusted him. And now, he was the one who was implicated in the case. The turning point had finally arrived. And Arie knew that she was the only one who could bring the truth to light. She had been working non-stop for the past few days, following leads, interviewing witnesses, and analyzing evidence, but nothing seemed to bring her any closer to the truth.
