Chapter 1

Ishan stared at Aahana's face in utter shock after receiving a sudden slap from Aahana. His hand automatically went to his cheek where she has slapped. Aahana had tears in her eyes. Her cheeks were overflowing with her tears making her vision blurry.

It all started a week back since Aahana stopped contacting with Ishan out of blue. No words were exchanged between them and suddenly she started ignoring him. Ishan has called her numerous times but she didn’t pick up his calls. He tried texting Aahana so many times but they also remained unseen forget about getting any reply.

Ishan was drowning in tension thinking about Aahana. She never did something like this before. He could guess that something serious must have occurred. But what?

He was stressed thinking his life was okay or not. He was tensed that why all of a sudden Aahana closed all the ways to reach her. He was going mad since he was not able to talk to her or see her. He tried contacting her friends but they too remained unreachable.

Having no options left, today Ishan had come to see Aahana in her dorm. He was hoping she would still be here. He managed the guard after a lot of extortion and asked him to call Aahana out.

She walked out after few minutes. A wide smile spread on Ishan's face seeing Aahana after so many days. He sighed in relief seeing her all okay and walked near her. The smile didn’t leave his face even for a moment that enlarged seeing her. But for some reason Aahana did not even look at him properly forget about smiling which made Ishan frown.

Ishan chucked all the negative thoughts away. He thought may be she is upset with him for some reasons as always or some problems must have come up which exhausted her. He stopped in front of her. He was about to ask Aahana that what's the reason? Why she was not picking his calls and replying his texts? Before that only she slapped him with all her strength making him shocked to his core.

Ishan with a great difficulty suppressed his inner turmoil and controlled his emotions. He arranged everything in his head with a great difficulty before voicing them out. He took both Aahana’s knuckles in between his palms, “What happened to you, Aahana? Why are you behaving like this? I was so scared for you. You didn’t take my calls nor replied my texts. I was going mad. Why are you ignoring me? Did I do something wrong? Are you upset with me?”

Aahana took her hands away from his hold with a jerk and shouted, “Don’t touch me. Don’t touch me with your dirty hands. I feel disgusted by your touch. Stay away from me.” She was looking at him with hatred filled eyes. Those eyes which used to be filled with love once, now it contained nothing but despise.

“Aahana, what are you saying? Have you gone insane? Did you even realize what did you just say?” Ishan was unable to believe his own ears. He was praying that all this is just a dream and when he will get up, all this would be gone.

“I was not in my senses till now that’s why I believed whatever you had said. (Her voice was sarcastic) I ignored everything else and believed in you. I trusted you blindly. I am ashamed of myself that I have loved a disgusting man like you. I am feeling like dying,” Aahana said while breaking down in tears.

Ishan was burning in rage from inside hearing all these craps from her but he knew he can’t show that to her right now. Something is terribly wrong between them and he has to found out that. If Aahana is reacting like this, then it must be something big. He has to solve it. So, he cupped Aahana’s face lovingly, “I never did anything which will break your trust. I can’t even think of breaking your trust. You are my life. You know that. Calm down. Tell me what happened. Please, relax. We can sort it out just tell me what’s bothering you.”

Aahana pushed him away from her. Ishan wasn’t ready for this so it took him few steps to stabilise himself. Aahana was looking at him but for the first time not with love. Her eyes were filled with hurt, pain, anger and most importantly betrayal.

“Don’t act more, Ishan. Please stop your drama now. You have betrayed me. You have spoiled my life. You have broken my trust. You have broken my heart in zillion pieces that I am not even able to gather them and I don’t think I will ever able to do that,” Aahana shouted her lungs out. She was breathing heavily as she completed her words.

Every word of her broke Ishan from the core. He was breaking inside but tried to show himself strong. Till now he had a ray of hope in his eyes buy with each passing seconds the ray was dying. All his hopes were crashing mercilessly.

Ishan was unable to understand what is happening with him. Nothing was getting into his head. He was in lose of word that what to feel and how to react.

Suddenly Aahana held his collar in her tight grip and shook him as much as she could. She was crying hysterically, “Why, Ishan? Why did you deceive me like this? What did go wrong in my love? How could you stoop so low? Didn’t you think about me for once? I never knew this Ishan.”

Ishan shook his head negatively asking her to stop. He also had tears in his eyes. Only he knew how difficult it was to stop those tears from shedding.

“You are taking everything wrong. I don’t know what happened to you, why are you saying all this. You are making some mistake. Do you know what are you saying? You are just uttering nonsense. Let’s talk. I know we can clear everything,” Ishan tried to calm her down but all went in vein. She wasn’t ready to hear him at all.

“I am uttering nonsense?” she said accusingly. “You are involved in physical relationship with someone else and I am making mistake? Then tell me one thing. Getting physical with someone and making her pregnant, what does it call?”

Ishan was rooted at his place. Shock would be an underestimate to describe his condition. His breath hitched in his throat. His mind was totally messed up. He was not able to understand what did Aahana just uttered. He was blank. He didn’t even hear what Aahana said after that.

“What happened? Why are you quiet now? Don’t you have anything to say now? Speak up. Till now I was thinking that may be Sakshi is wrong, she is throwing herself on you. But no. You are the real culprit. You didn’t just ruin my life, you ruined her life as well. For God sake, she is pregnant with your child,” Aahana’s voice held hurt more than anything. It was so difficult for her to believe that her Ishan could do something like this. But she can’t ignore all the proves. It took all her courage to stand in front of him today.

Now Ishan came back to his senses. Aahana's voice broke his trance. Now he could guess what must have happened. He could not control his anger hearing Sakshi's name. He was fuming. How can she believe that girl over him? Doesn’t she know how much manipulative that girl is?

Ishan held Aahana's shoulder in his fist and shouted, “Shut up. Just shut up. You have said enough. How did it even cross your mind that I can stoop so low? How can your Ishan do something like this? I have never thought about anyone else apart from you. For me it has always been you and only you.

And you think I will get involved physically with any girl that too with Sakshi? You know her well. After all that happened in the past, how can you say this? Do you have any prove that I have physical relation with Sakshi and she is carrying my child?”

“Sakshi herself told me,” Aahana's voice was cold as ice and her answer made Ishan shock.
