“Ok am Eli” he said. “ hmm” I nodded. Another lapse of silence befell us. When the silence became thick and unbearable I stood up. “Umm I have to be on my way” I said while dusting my pants. “Ok see you next time”. He replied. “There won’t be next time you moron” I said in my mind and ran back home. ELI POV I never expected to see such an interesting scene on my way to stream which is now my safe haven from all the trials and tribulations in form of school work. I usually sneak out from my house for some fresh air when these called trials and tribulations becomes too much for my poor brain. And i needed the fresh air to relax my tensed nerves. “Oh sorry pardon my manners,am Eli first son of the O’lells family and am 15 years old. I have two younger siblings, Joe who is 12 years and Susan who is 10 years and the last born of our family. Joe is a calm, quiet and obedient boy while Susan is the complete opposite of Joe. A mischievous, disobedient and boisterous missy is her second name. She Is just a boss of her self. Nevertheless I love Susan more than I love Joe. She was over pampered since she is the only girl in our family. We are closer to each, we share our secrets and keep it hidden in our hearts. We are more like besties. And anytime she needs a shoulder to cry on,she usually runs to me for comfort. Being the first son comes with a lot of responsibility and disadvantages. For an instance, my parents told me that I wasn’t allowed to keep friends that are not from a wealthy family. I was told that the were dead weight. Since the ownership of my family companies will soon be under me, I was only allowed to mingle with guys from a wealthy family that will become good allies in time. I didn’t have any true friends.i mostly keep to myself and exchanged few words with my classmates that have good behavior. The school I attended was the best in town, with a bunch of arrogant brats as classmates.who were bullies to the other student from the poor families, they see them as country rats that eat from the rich leftovers, and are meant to be beneath them. Which made it very hard for me to make friends with them, because I hate those sort of people. My grandpa was once a poor man before he became wealthy. He was the one that told me that I shouldn’t look down on people who are of lower status, that they may be the one to save me when am in need of help in the future. No one knows what the future beholds for us,so we should be careful while treading on this planet called earth. He was an orphan who had to do some hard chores to have his daily food before fortune and fate decided to smile on him, with his hard work he strived and became one of the most wealthiest man in the town. He owned a lob majority of companies that dealt with raw materials for the construction of buildings. So he took it upon himself and imparted on me a lot of wisdom words that really helped me when I was growing up since my parents were barely there for us. They were always so busy with their works. My grandpa became our sole guardian and took care of us in the absence of my parents. Back to my classmates, I was told to mingle with the rich guys but their behaviors were so irritating for me to tolerate. If they are not partying they will be molesting a naive innocent girl and bullying the guys that from the rural side who made it to the school through scholarship. they are always mischievous and unserious with their studies. I have always dreamt on meeting her. The special girl who will make my heartbeat race. I have always wish marry a girl who I love and will want to grow old with our children, and not get married for political reasons. “I better be on my way home before my parents get home before me, am not ready to sit down in that creepy study and be lectured on the do’s and donts of the house. Thankfully I got home before my parents and quickly sneaked back to my room. “Where did you go to? “Badum” my heart just skipped a beat and started beating fast when I heard my sister’s voice, I turned and saw her sitting down with her leg crossed and her judgmental question mark face.
