Chapter 25 “Hey.” His voice was hoarse. His eyes blinked twice, and he promptly looked away from my chest. “Ah . . . aren’t we going to sleep yet?” I asked. He gulped and ran the tip of his tongue over his lips. He was holding back, but in the end, he couldn’t stop his eyes from glancing back at my chest. “Um.” He coughed once to clear his throat. “Go to bed first. I’ll just look for something before going to bed.” He started searching again but kept glancing my way. “What exactly have you been looking for since earlier? Can’t we just sleep first and you look for it tomorrow instead?” I noticed a slight loss of focus in his eyes. He looked sideways and at the floor before he finally managed to look at me. “I have to find it now. I was . . .” He stammered. “It’s . . . important—”
