Chapter 57
“We will go first. Xena needs to rest.”
Roiland nodded and placed his hand on Lennox’s shoulder. He seemed like he was about to reveal something to Creed about the two of us. It was a relief that Roiland was there to hold him back.
“I’m embarrassed because of what my sister did—”
“You don’t have to,” said Lennox.
‘He really doesn’t have to,’ I thought, almost saying it aloud in front of his face.
“What she did was wrong.” Creed said, shaking his head in disappointment. “I’ll talk to her again later.”
We entered the elevator together. It was about to close when Lennox stopped it with his hand and quickly came in with Roiland.
“You forgot your towel.”
I was surprised by what he said. He was looking straight into my eyes, holding out my towel so could take it. He was clear
