Few minutes later, they arrived at a restaurant. Karl took her to a seat near the window with good views. A man was sitting there quietly. He was so handsome and looked out of this world. He wore a cold expression and looked unapproachable. He is no other person than Williams O'Connor. 'So it's really him,' she thought to herself. Williams smiled lightly when he saw her and pointed to the seat opposite him. "Have a seat," he said. Alice sat down, looking nervous. She wasn't expecting to meet Williams again. The truth is that she wasn't unfeeling about what happened last night; after all, it was her first time. "We meet again, Alice," he greeted. "Yeah, I guess," she muttered. "Why did you bring me here, and also were you monitoring me?" She asked. "You are my woman, so why won't I watch after you," he said boldly. "Your woman, who is your woman. Just because we made a mistake yesterday night doesn't mean I am your woman," she scolded. "Whatever, all I know is you're mine whether you like it or not," he declared. She decided to ignore him. "Anyway, here's why I called you." He continued. He brought out a stack of documents. "My parents had been forcing me to marry, and I don't want to marry." "I want us to sign a contract marriage; you will be acting as my wife for a year. We don't have to actually act as husband and wife except in public, and we don't have to sleep together. I will pay you two million dollars for that and would even give you one million in advance; the other half will be paid after the one year is over," he offered. "You don't want to marry. That's nice because I was thinking that maybe you have started taking a fancy to me. I will have to disappoint you but know. I will not take your offer," she rejected without hesitation. "Are you sure?" "Yes," she nodded firmly. "Fine, I won't force you. Do take your time. The offer is still open. But I will have to warn you though. It won't be open for long," he said. She nodded at him. "Thanks for saving me anyway." "You don't have to thank me. You are my woman, after all. I was only doing my job, after all." She decided to ignore him this time and left without hesitation. Williams stared at her for a while before smiling confidently. "She will come back." He muttered under his breath. "So you mean to say, you have been through all this just in a twenty-four-hour gap," Anna shouted. "What do you think?" She replied half-heartedly. Anna was her best friend; she had called her over the moment she came back, and luckily Anna was nearby and had come immediately. "Wow, girl, I can't believe it; you actually managed to seduce a very powerful billionaire," she exclaimed. "I didn't seduce him," I hit her head. "Oh, am sorry; I mean you had a one-night stand with him, and he even offered you a contract with a huge amount of money. Even if you become a star now, you still have to work hard for two days before you can make that much," she continued. "Get lost," Alice pushed her away. Her phone rang, and she picked it. After some minutes, she dropped her phone looking grave. "What is it," Anna asked, "my mom's condition has worsened, the doctor demands that I come to the hospital this night." She answered. "What are you waiting for, come on let's go." Anna hurried her. The two ran outside and flagged down a cab before entering in a hurry. Inside the hospital. "So how much is the surgery, doctor?" Alice asked. She was looking nervous; Anna was sitting besides her and held her hands to calm her down. "The total amount for the surgery is five hundred thousand dollars, and you have to deposit the sum of three hundred thousand dollars before we can start the surgery," the doctor replied. "What!" The two shouted at the same time. The amount was shocking; she didn't even have up to fifty thousand dollars in her account. How could she come up with the half payment talk less of the full payment. "Thank you very much, doctor Ken; we will be leaving now so we can come up with the money," she said before leaving with Anna. She was lost and didn't even know when Anna flagged down a cab. Inside the car, she looked so lost that Anna started getting worried. "Alice, don't think too much about it; there might actually be another way to go about it," she said. "What other way? I don't even have up to fifty thousand dollars in my account, and I don't have a job now since I gave up my job for the audition, and even if I still had my job. It will still be useless, even if I work for two years I can't even make up to two hundred thousand dollars, and I have no relative to rely on, so what am I going to do now?" She cried. "You still have an option, dumb head; it's even better than any other thing you can think of," Anna said and touched her head lightly. "What options, you don't expect me to sleep with that damn investor." She asked. "Of course not, you dumb head. The contract marriage, how could you forget such a thing," Anna said furiously. I apologize for the frustration caused. Let's continue from where we left off: "Oh, how can I forget it, the contract marriage. Yes, let me call him immediately." She grabbed her phone and dialed his number. After a few rings, it connected. "Hello, am I talking to Williams?" She said nervously. "Yes, I was expecting that you will call but not this soon," he replied. "Wait, do you know of my mother's illness?" She asked suspiciously. "What illness? What are you saying?" He feigned ignorance. She knew he was lying, but she didn't try to push it. "Am ready to sign the contract, where do we meet?" She asked. "Diamond five-star hotel 8:00 am tomorrow morning."
