SOPHIA’S POV
The words hit like claws slashing across my heart. My wolf howled in pain and rage.
"I have never abandoned my daughter," I said. "And you have no right-"
"I have every right," Simon cut me off. "I'm protecting my friend's interests and his interests include making sure his wife doesn't embarrass him by sleeping around."
"I'm not sleeping with anyone!" The words came out loud. Several other diners turned to look at us.
"Then why are you always with him?" Simon jerked his chin toward Lance. "Why was he at your apartment? Why are you holding hands in public? What kind of married woman acts like this?"
Lance stood up. I could see gold flashing in his eyes as his wolf demanded to be let out.
