Survival or Love?

"Mr CEO. there's a message from you." A voice called. Mr. Moez, the CEO of the company, turned to face the man who had entered and spoke softly. “Yes. Send it here. Thank you for coming in today. I'll let you know if there are any questions or anything else needs to be discussed.” He replied, watching as the man stood at attention and left the room after giving a slight nod. Once he was gone, he reached up, pressing his fingers against his forehead. He closed his eyes briefly and exhaled loudly, allowing himself to take several moments to calm down before he opened them again. His fingers continued to massage against his temples, trying to ease some of the tension that seemed to be accumulating there. It was a picture. Of a new born baby. The baby had the same smile.. Like the girl he had met .. She wasn't just another girl for him.. He was in love with her.. And she with him... His eyes opened again, though this time not for a moment did they leave the picture on the table. He looked around the office and found he was alone. It was just him... His thoughts raced as he remembered the conversation that had led to this moment. He was about to go back in the meeting.. There would be questions... He knew there would be questions but... “I'm sorry..” He whispered under his breath. He couldn't stand being in the office. He'd rather be somewhere else. A quiet place where he could get lost away from everything that surrounded him. He pushed himself out of the chair and walked to the door, reaching for the handle and then opening it to exit the office. It took him a moment or two to make it to the elevator, his heart racing a bit faster than usual. The ride went by quickly, almost too quick to notice.. When the doors opened to the ground floor, he stepped out, making sure to lock it behind him. Before he even made it to the entrance of his apartment building, his phone began to buzz.. His thumb hovered over the accept button until it stopped abruptly once again. He didn't want to answer it. He'd rather just walk home... The buzzing sound continued until it ceased when the person on the other end realized he hadn' t answered. The phone remained silent the rest of the day, leaving Mr. Moez alone. He spent most of it staring at the wall, feeling nothing but numbness inside him. He didn't have enough will to get dressed nor eat dinner. He wanted nothing more than to feel something. Anything. But, he was so used to feeling nothing that nothing felt wrong. Nothing felt wrong. Nothing. That was what he told himself all through the night. But, eventually, his body forced him out of bed, dragging him into the shower and turning the water onto its highest temperature. Then, after the heat began to build up and the steam begin to cloud the mirrors, he stood in front of them, letting the water pound away at him... He stayed like that for hours, only taking breaks for the occasional sip of cold coffee. Eventually, the bathroom had begun to grow dark, only lit by the light of the television playing quietly in the corner. His legs hurt from standing so long. And it was late. Almost 2:30 in the morning. The sun would rise soon and people would begin to come and go from the office as usual. But, he didn't want to be reminded of that. Instead, he pulled on his favorite pair of track pants and a tee shirt. He grabbed his shoes and headed for the door. He was in guilt. For not knowing what had happened to her. He didn't even know if she had survived or ..... He fled the country she was in.. She helped him escape.. The two nights of pure tregedy.. The night.. That night.. ... "Wake up" She whispered in his ears. "The police has gone. " She told him. She was wearing a white bralet with tight jeans. Her golden hair were falling on her shoulders. And her eyes glistened slightly.. Her hand ran across his cheek, touching it lightly. And she smiled. "You're alive..." She said happily, wrapping her arms tightly around him. He held her tightly.. Feeling relief wash over him. As much as he hated to admit it.. He missed her. Despite everything, she was still the one he loved. The one he had never stopped loving.. "I've waited so long...." She murmured softly, looking up at him. Then, as if suddenly realizing how close their faces were, she moved away. Looking at him shyly for a few seconds, then pulling herself together. "We should probably get going..." She said hesitantly, stepping backward and grabbing her purse. "Don't... leave..." Moez whispered as he tried to hold her wrist.. He got closer to her.. and his touch made her.. ...shiver. They both froze at the feeling. Their eyes locked together as she leaned forward slowly, her lips parted. She placed her hands on his chest and leaned even closer. "No. Please, don't do this..." He pleaded with her.. She closed her eyes gently, closing in on him, moving closer and closer, until she closed the gap between them. They kissed each other deeply, his tongue running along hers softly. They separated only when they could breathe. Both of them gasping for air. "Please forgive me.." She muttered as tears streamed down her cheeks. He pulled her close to him, resting his head on top of hers as they watched the dawn light creep across the sky. "Don't say.. sorry..." He held her by her waist and his lips touched her skin.. "Thank you...for saving me.." He pressed one final kiss onto her shoulder as she wrapped her arms around him, nuzzling her nose into the crook of his neck and inhaling deeply, breathing in his scent. When they finally came apart, they stared at each other lovingly and Moez kissed her again, longer this time and deeper. His fingers tangled themselves in her long blonde locks, holding her head steady. When they finally pulled away again, they rested their foreheads together for a few moments before finally separating. "Moez"... she moaned... as he slid his hand on her curves.. "STOP!!!!!!!" "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" There were screams and cries. Nobody knew what happened next... ..... "Romaisa? why aren't you dressed up?" Jill asked Romaisa. "I don't want to get up Jill... I don't feel well.." she said in a low tone..
