I could tell that Draven was annoyed with the situation. He had planned on spending the night with me alone, and now we had this unexpected guest to deal with. But he didn’t say anything to me, at least not at first. Instead, he helped me get Hale settled on the couch, laying him down and covering him with a blanket. It was a kind gesture, but I could tell that he didn’t want to be there any longer than he had to be. Once we were in his room, I could tell that something was bothering Draven. He was pacing back and forth, his hands running through his locs in frustration. “What’s wrong?” I asked, not sure how to start the conversation. He stopped his pacing and turned to face me. “Why did you invite him here? You know how I feel about him.” He seemed okay earlier but I knew it frustrate
