MILLENNIUM

CHAPTER ONE

I look out of the window of my apartment which is situated at the top of the building. The bright sun and the sound of people going about their normal business did not seem to bring me out of my moodiness.

I can still remember the dream I had last night. This is the third time I have have dreamt of this girl. Though she always look blurry so I could not tell how she looks but her voice sounds the same.

She have a very melodious voice. Warm and rich. In my previous dreams she has always called my name. And she kept on telling me to beware of the fly that perches in the sun.

Last night dream was quite different. I can still remember vividly the way a man snatched the girl away. She was running to me screaming when it happened.

I am not the type of man to worry about a dream but this is more than a dream. Intuitively, I can sense a bad omen.

The buzzing sound of my phone brought me out of my reverie. I crossed over to the nightstand and snatched the phone off. I checked the caller ID it was my secretary, Chloe.

"Chloe".

"Sir, when are coming in to the office. You have a meeting by 10am.

I am into construction business. I buy and renovate estates then sell it off. I had gone into it at the age of 20 and I made my first millions when I was 25 years. As at five years ago I was classified among the top 10 billionaires in US.

"I will be in soon. I cut the call and dial my driver, Joe. "Joe meet me at the front door in the next 5 mins.

I took my suitcase and went into my private elevator down to the first floor. Joe was already on the curb waiting for me. He is never late. I got in and we sail to my office.

My office is located at the heart of New York. A very booming environment for business. I walked in and took the elevator to the eight floor.

My secretary was already busy typing away. Chloe is about 40 and has been with me since I started my business. She is about 5ft2, slim and sassy.

"Welcome Sir. Your coffee is on the table. I will get your planner for today.

"Very good Chloe. Call Mr Rusev. Tell him to meet me tomorrow at Noen's by 9:30am. We need to finalize the deal.

"Okay Sir.

"Call the board members to the conference room. Lets get this done.

"I have done that Sir. They are waiting for you.

"Good. I will be there in a jiffy. I walked in to my office then dropped my suitcase on the desk. I took my steaming coffee and went out to the conference room.
