Chapter 12Henry hadn’t been lying when he told Theo he enjoyed being in the library with him. A place so warm and inviting. More so than when Sir Roderick was in charge. That may have sounded strange, given Theo’s particular way of doing things, but it was true.
Everything had its place. Everything was in order. Everything ran like a perfectly wound clock, all the gears working together to keep the exact time.
The entire place glowed and came to life around Theo. Theo, though probably not aware of it, also glowed and came to life the second he stepped inside. Truly a sight to behold. Beautiful. Not perfect, but the closest to perfection Henry had ever seen.
