Alex practically falls asleep at the wheel, so I make him park at grandpa’s and come inside. He barely makes it to the door, and I’m not going to argue with him about taking a shower, I figure I’ll just wash my blankets later. He surprises me by asking for a towel, so I show him to the bathroom, and leave him to shower alone. I wander around the house for a few minutes, and snack on some pretzels I find in the kitchen.
