“Yeah, that was a little weird. Almost like he was jealous or something.” I said with a small growl of annoyance. There is no reason for him to be jealous, seeing as how he rejected Natalie. And as if sensing this annoyance and anger, Natalie put her hand on my arm and gave it a reassuring squeeze. I then pulled her to my side and kissed her forehead, which caused her to sigh in content. Seems like I was not the only one that needed to calm down.
It was about 30 minutes later when we met up with Mr. and Mrs. Morris near the cars that were parked next to the packhouse. With it being almost 10 pm, we would not make it back to Blood Moon until 3 in the morning. So hopefully they will be okay for the drive.
