He wiped his fake tears and she let out scoff

she immediately changed her form and her eyes turned the b****y red



Catherine :- "You know what? My father was carried back to the Pack by his Beta's, Delta's and Gamma's but you all are going to root here in this forest forever. I will give you a death that even while animals here would be disgusted by you "

She growled in anger and launched herself at them

Only groans, screams, bone cracking sounds and tearing of flesh were heard after Catherine's words. And minutes after the forest fell into a dead silence. Catherine stood there in her wolf form breathing heavily. She was surrounded by dead bodies of the rivals wolves now unable to be recognised, their body parts torn apart, fallen here and there it, it was a disgusting sight

Catherine ran back to her Pack as fast as she could

Everybody was waiting for Catherine. No one knew where she went in such a weather after all this happening. The whole pack looked pale and lost. Suddenly a very bad smell started spreading. It was blood it was making everyone sick. They covered the noise when Luna's eyes fell on Catherine from a distance and realised the smell was coming from her. She approach her father with a slow steps

All the event of the past started replaying in her head, how he trained how trained her, how he took care of her whenever she fell sick. But what hurt her the most were his words from last night

Catherine:- " Everyone turn around! " she ordered when she reached near him and knelt down, her eyes pooling with tears. everybody did as they were ordered

Catherine :- "I am late I failed as a daughter, I couldn't protect you but I want you to know that "

she held his face placing a kiss on both sides of his cheeks and forehead

Catherine:- I love you dad I love you so much I did as you ask me to do, I killed those coward wolves "

She torn a piece of her sleeves which was covered in blood and wrapped around his wrist

Catherine :- " I promise to protect this Pack and serve it until my last breath "

Tear mixed with the raindrops were streaming down her face and her inside were dying

Catherine :- " I want the elders to complete the ritual and the packed to pray for the Alpha to rest in piece "

She Ordered and left to her room

Luna saw how whatever Catherine did and it made her proud. She was happy to know that she got her father's death Revenge. She couldn't ask for more

Mr Allen :- " Luna let's complete the rituals?"

Luna Brown:- " Yes ......please proceed "

Catherine couldn't watch the rituals, she didn't have enough courage. How could she? the person who has made her what she was today has left her

she stood near the window with red puffy eyes, the Pack was returning after completing the death rituals

Catherine :- " Dad......come back...... please "

She sobbed

Catherine:- " Now who is going to scold me when I make a mistake during the training, who is going to show me the right path, who? "

Her words were barely audible. Her breath kept hitching and she kept mumbling the same words while crying her heart out which is why she failed to notice someone was standing near the door

After the rituals Luna decided to go and check on Catherine when Mr Sen came to her

Mr Sen :- " Luna, Now that the rituals are done, we have one more thing to be considered about "

Luna Brown:- " And that is ?"

Mr Sen :- The Throne, it is empty. we can't run the pack without an Alpha " Luna brown :- " You have spend so much time working with our late Alpha. But still, if you ask I would suggest Catherine after all she is well known, trained and of course she is deserving

Mr Sen :- " We are going to hold the meeting soon so I guess we should discuss it there "

Luna Brown :- " Sure "

And then she made her way towards Catherine's room and when she witnessed her state, her heart shattered into a thousands of pieces

She could she how badly Catherine regretted not showing her real emotion to her father, Luna went towards her and patter her back

This was the first time she got to see her daughter crying so uncontrollably

Her eyes were bloodshot red. She saw her vulnerable side. She was not the Supreme Alpha at that moment but her innocent daughter

Luna Brown :- " No Catherine. This isn't the time to lose yourself my child, The Pack need you, if you are going to break like this then how are you willing to see us to survive.

She hugged her while rubbing her back and Catherine kept sobbing in her arms

Catherine:- " Mom...... I f-failed as a daughter, I broke my promise, I always give you and dad so many problems, And now.... h-he is gone, please bring him back........"

She kept repeating the same words and her heart crumbled seeing her rock hard, strong girl getting devastated like that

Luna Brown :- " You didn't fail, Catherine. You are the best daughter one could ever ask for and is this what your dad taught you? Break down in situation where you are supposed to be strong? my child, Moon Goddess is going to guide you on the right path, She is going to bless you with a Mate someone who will say with you for the longest, Someone who will trust you and love you more than anyone, care for you, understand you inside and out the best
