Jules paused as he passed the open hatch. It was beginning to lighten outside, and he could see the silhouette of Gage a few meters from the ship. With bo in hand, his friend moved through his exercise. Jules surmised it was to release energy and center his mind, having heard the brief alarms and determining that Gage and Skyler were involved in their own… conversation. He’d leave the Prophecy to his work and continued to the helm.
Glancing at the screen in front of Skyler, he saw all systems were online, except the hyperdrives and the Quick-Kitch. There was the frequency from Suma, and he wondered if Skyler had read the message. What he observed her doing now, he guessed at the reason, but discovered he was wrong.
“You’re sending a message to Dulsar? Hoping they’ll come rescue us?”
